About the Role

Dhaka Technologies Limited is hiring a Power BI Developer on behalf of a client. The Power BI Developer will support data analytics and reporting initiatives by building interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI. This role is suitable for an entry-level to junior-level professional with foundational experience in Power BI, SQL, data visualization, reporting documentation, and data preparation.

The selected candidate will work with analysts, business stakeholders, and senior developers to create accurate, reliable, and presentation-ready reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
  
• Support data cleaning, transformation, and modeling tasks under the guidance of senior team members.
  
• Maintain and update existing Power BI reports and datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  
• Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
  
• Use SQL or other query tools to extract and prepare data from various sources.
  
• Troubleshoot basic data or report issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately.
  
• Document reporting processes, data definitions, and visualization standards.
  
• Stay current with Power BI features and best practices to improve team reporting capabilities.
  
• Participate in team reviews of dashboard requirements and provide input on visualization options.
  
• Monitor existing reports to ensure they refresh successfully and troubleshoot data refresh issues.
  
• Maintain documentation of datasets, data pipelines, and report logic for internal stakeholders.
  
• Collaborate with senior developers to implement role-level security in Power BI where required.
  
• Learn and apply best practices in data modeling, including star schema design, DAX fundamentals, and performance optimization.
  
• Assist in preparing presentation-ready visual summaries for leadership or project teams.
  
• Stay up to date with new Power BI features, analytics trends, and internal tooling improvements.
  
• Assist team members with creating dashboards in ServiceNow Platform Analytics.
  

RequirementsRequired Qualifications and Experience

• 5 years of experience building interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
  
• 5 years of experience preparing complex technical documentation.
  
• 5 years of experience using SQL or other query tools to extract and prepare data from various sources.
  
• 5 years of experience documenting reporting processes, data definitions, and visualization standards.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent experience may also be considered.
  
• Foundational understanding of Power BI, SQL, and data visualization principles.
  
• Basic knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and modeling concepts.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot basic reporting, data, and refresh issues.
  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate reporting documentation.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with analysts, business stakeholders, and technical team members.
  
• Willingness to learn Power BI best practices, DAX fundamentals, star schema design, role-level security, and performance optimization.
  

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX.
  
• Understanding of dataset refresh schedules and report performance optimization.
  
• Exposure to ServiceNow Platform Analytics.
  
• Basic knowledge of role-level security in Power BI.
  
• Ability to prepare presentation-ready visual summaries for leadership and project teams.
  

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
