POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Installation Manager, the Security Systems Installer installs security systems in financial institutions, residential buildings, and commercial buildings in or around Kansas City, MO.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install security systems in buildings.
• Read blueprints and work diagrams to determine the length and size of wire needed.
• Cut wire to specified length with pliers, strip insulation from wire ends, and connect wires to panels.
• String wire harnesses and pull wire from harnesses at specified points to complete branch circuits.
• Run PVC and EMT conduit.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to the position and employment generally.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and expectations to the benefit of the organization and co-workers.
• Productively and positively contribute to maintaining a safe, healthy, productive, and enjoyable workplace.
• Accurately complete all paperwork, including timesheets, in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required skill and knowledge.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be available to work overtime as required
• Obtain a Class E Driver License

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

• Bosch
• DMP
• Access Control
• Wiring Systems / Low Voltage
• Fire Alarm Systems
• CCTV
• Security Systems

SKILLS

• Troubleshooting
• Ability to use power and hand tools
• Customer service
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Minimal computer knowledge

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Working indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions
• Bending and crouching within work areas
• Working in confined areas
• Climbing ladders continuously

FLSA STATUS

Non-exempt

HOURS OF WORK

Monday through Friday, but must be flexible to service customers.
