Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer/Architect to design, develop, and optimize mission-critical embedded software for ground, airborne, and space-based systems, including SSPA and BUC platforms.

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Develop and architect real-time embedded software using Linux, Yocto, VxWorks, and/or FreeRTOS.
  • \n

  • Design device drivers, control algorithms, monitoring, power management, and fault-detection software.
  • \n

  • Develop software in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • \n

  • Support embedded software development through design, integration, testing, qualification, and production.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with RF, electrical, mechanical, systems, and program engineering teams.
  • \n

  • Ensure compliance with DO-178, MIL-STD, EMI/EMC, reliability, and environmental requirements.
  • \n

  • Lead architecture reviews, technical trade studies, troubleshooting, and software verification/validation.
  • \n

  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across embedded software projects.
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • \n

  • 3+ years of embedded software development experience.
  • \n

  • Strong experience with Yocto Project.
  • \n

  • Experience with VxWorks OR FreeRTOS.
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience in Embedded Software OR Device Driver development.
  • \n

  • Aerospace/Defense industry experience required.
  • \n

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills.
  • \n

  • Experience with embedded communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, CAN, or Modbus.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of RTOS, debugging, embedded development tools, and software architecture.
  • \n

  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain clearance preferred.
  • \n

Preferred: Experience with RF systems, power electronics, DSP/DPD, FPGA/GPU/NPU technologies, and aerospace software standards.
