Job Description
Job Description
Arlington, VA, or New York, NY (on-site/hybrid)
The platform: a privacy-first mobile carrier built from the ground up, running its own network rather than a layer over legacy infrastructure. Secure cellular service for consumers, businesses, and government, with privacy and security engineered into every layer of the stack, from the device, through contested infrastructure, to the network core. The charge is connectivity without compromise: resilient global connectivity that separates users from the legacy telecom ecosystem.
The work:
- Build a best-in-class signaling firewall to detect and mitigate malicious signaling attacks
- Detect fake base stations (cell-site simulators)
- Detect and prevent spam and smishing campaigns
- Alert users transparently when they are actively targeted by hackers or nation states
- Own the full software lifecycle, from problem discovery to delivery, across foundational components of the telecom stack
- Ship reliable, performant, scalable systems that let other product teams build without deep infrastructure expertise
Required:
- 4+ years of professional software engineering
- Strong foundation in computer science or a related technical field
- Fluency in a modern backend language (Go, Rust, Java/Kotlin, or Python)
- Solid command of algorithms, data structures, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
- Clear written and verbal communication, fast iteration, high-quality bar
Nice to have:
- Active US security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one
