With continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for Facilities Maintenance Tech II - E-Shift.
Purpose and Scope
Performs operations & maintenance tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager or designee.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
- Maintains, and insures a clean and orderly work area and that all maintenance actions are accomplished in a safe manner.
- Receives work assignments from Facilities Manager or designee.
- Performs repairs and maintenance on building structures and finishes.
- Performs repairs and maintenance on building equipment and systems.
- Performs actions and works with other maintenance technicians in the maintenance and improvement of the building and grounds, architectural features, machinery, pumps, chillers, and all other facilities and building equipment, support systems and utilities.
- Ensures all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled for proper disposal.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED plus vocational or specialty trade training or experience.
- A minimum of 2 years personal experience performing similar work.
- A good working knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in construction, maintenance, and repair of building finishes, equipment, and systems.
- Skills needed include adaptability, communication, customer focus, decision-making, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, personal organization, productivity, quality, results focus, teamwork, work environment, leadership, people development, project management.
- Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.
- The ability to operate a forklift truck (following Sargent provided training).
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Skills:
- The ability to perform corrective and preventative maintenance to restrooms, meeting rooms, doors, and cleaning equipment.
- The ability to service general plumbing and basic electrical needs of the property to include repairing toilets, sinks, showers, and small electrical devices.
