A Day in the Life
Socket is looking for hard-working, dependable individuals to join our Drop Crew Technician team. In this role, you’ll assist installation technicians in preparing sites for fiber line installation. This is a physically active, outdoor position—perfect for those who enjoy hands-on work and seeing the results of their efforts every day.
What You’ll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and optimize sites for fiber drop installation
- Load, unload, and maintain tools and equipment
- Dig trenches and operate machinery such as a vibratory plow
- Assist with traffic control when working in public rights-of-way
- Keep equipment clean and job sites organized
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Maintain reliable attendance and a clean driving record
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous labor or construction experience
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction or utility work (preferred)
