Job Description
Doane Family Enterprises is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to assist with the upkeep, maintenance, and repairs of our nine McDonald's restaurants throughout New Jersey.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and tackling a variety of maintenance projects. This is not a management position but rather a hands-on support role working alongside our existing facilities team to keep our restaurants safe, functional, and looking their best.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or restaurant equipment maintenance. Previous McDonald's maintenance experience is a plus!
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general maintenance and repairs across nine McDonald's locations in New Jersey.
- Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and handyman tasks.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve everyday building and equipment maintenance issues.
- Assist with preventive maintenance to keep restaurant facilities and equipment in good working condition.
- Support the facilities team with repairs, installations, and improvement projects.
- Address maintenance requests and assist with urgent repairs as needed.
- Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our restaurants.
- Travel between restaurant locations based on maintenance needs.
- Work collaboratively with restaurant management and the facilities team to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in general maintenance, handyman services, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or restaurant maintenance preferred.
- Experience working in McDonald's or other quick-service restaurants is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and general repair techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new skills and assist with a variety of maintenance needs.
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working with tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between locations.
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple maintenance requests.
