What the Role Is
The AI Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, monitoring, and operational reliability of AI platform services and supporting Azure resources. This role works closely with Infrastructure Engineering to maintain a secure, stable, and supportable AI platform environment. The Analyst independently manages routine platform work and contributes to non-routine troubleshooting, deployment support, documentation, and user enablement. This role focuses on AI platform operations and support, not data science or model development.
The focus of this role is on AI platform operations, Azure administration, monitoring, and supportability.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
Position Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Standard Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day operation of AI platform services and related Azure resources, including access controls, service identities, secrets, registries, workspaces, and supporting compute or container services as applicable.
- Monitor dashboards, alerts, logs, traces, and service health for AI workloads and respond to incidents in accordance with runbooks, support procedures, and escalation paths.
- Execute operational tasks such as onboarding support, access changes, configuration updates, endpoint checks, deployment validation, certificate or secret rotations, and documentation maintenance.
- Partner with Infrastructure Engineering on shared dependencies involving networking, identity, security controls, certificates, backup and recovery, and platform availability.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, operating checklists, knowledge articles, and change records that support consistent AI platform operations.
- Contribute to scripting, automation, and process improvements that reduce manual effort and improve service reliability.
- Support platform users, project teams, and vendors by providing operational assistance, issue triage, and escalation when needed.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance activities and incident response as assigned.
Level-Specific Responsibilities:
- Administer and support AI platform services and supporting Azure resources used for AI-related workloads.
- Monitor platform health, service availability, alerts, logs, traces, and performance metrics; investigate and resolve routine issues and escalate more complex issues when needed.
- Provision, maintain, and document Azure resources related to AI platform support, including resource groups, service identities, key management, registries, storage, and supporting services as applicable.
- Support platform deployments, configuration changes, release validation, and rollback activities using established change management practices.
- Troubleshoot platform, access, connectivity, and service issues across AI-related infrastructure and supporting components.
- Maintain and improve operational documentation, runbooks, standard procedures, and support knowledge for AI platform services.
- Support identity, access, and governance processes for AI platform users, service accounts, and application integrations.
- Build and maintain basic automation, scripting, and operational tooling to improve repeatability, visibility, and support efficiency.
- Partner with Infrastructure Engineering on shared dependencies involving networking, security, identity, certificates, storage, and enterprise platform services.
- Support onboarding of new AI platform capabilities by helping validate operational readiness, monitoring coverage, and support processes.
