Job Description

Security Software Engineer (IAM & Application Security)

\n

Salary: $250k-350k

\n

Total compensation: ranging $400k-750k depending on performance and seniority

\n

\n

A leading quantitative trading firm is hiring a Security Software Engineer to join a small, highly skilled Information Security team, with scope spanning Identity & Access Management (IAM) and Application Security across the firm's platform.

\n

\n

As part of Information Security, you'll design, build, and deploy production-grade security solutions that directly support the firm's trading and transaction infrastructure, whilst partnering closely with business leaders across the firm to scope priorities and deliver tailored, business-critical solutions.

\n

\n

The work spans owning features end to end - from architecture and development through testing, deployment, and automation - as well as driving incident response and root-cause resolution for systems already in production.

\n

\n

What you'll do:

\n

    \n
  • Design, build, and deploy scalable security solutions across IAM and application security that support the firm's production platform
  • \n

  • Own features end to end, including enhancements to trade booking and transaction processing systems
  • \n

  • Drive security automation to reduce repetitive, manual work
  • \n

  • Own incident management: triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution
  • \n

  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of systems shipped
  • \n

  • Partner directly with business leaders to scope priorities and deliver tailored solutions
  • \n

\n

\n

What we're looking for:

\n

    \n
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with genuine exposure to security - ideally application security and/or IAM
  • \n

  • Strong coding skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python
  • \n

  • A track record of shipping and operating production software end to end, not just prototypes
  • \n

  • Experience with security automation and vulnerability management
  • \n

  • Comfort owning incident response and reliability for systems built
  • \n

  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows, plus exposure to endpoint/network security
  • \n

  • Familiarity with GCP
  • \n

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, confident engaging both engineers and business stakeholders
  • \n

\n

\n

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of security engineering and the trading floor, with direct visibility into how your work protects and enables business outcomes at a leading quant trading firm.
