Optomi, in partnership with a leading consulting firm, is seeking two Data Scientists, one for their New York City, NY location and one for their Cupertino, CA location. The Data Scientists will support business-facing product analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage statistical analysis, machine learning techniques, and experimentation frameworks to solve business problems, deliver actionable insights, and provide recommendations around AI/LLM opportunities. This is not a deep AI engineering role, but rather a data science position focused on analytics, experimentation, and business impact. This is a hybrid, 12-month contract role.

Experience of the right candidate:

- 5-7 years of Data Science experience with a strong focus on business-facing product analytics.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience working with large datasets; Spark experience highly desired.
- Hands-on experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests.
- Understanding of AI/LLM capabilities and the ability to recommend business use cases.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience applying statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to large, complex datasets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Financial products experience.
- Tableau or similar BI/data visualization tools.
- Strong mix of business and technical expertise.
- Experience in big data environments.
