About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to support and enhance AWS and on-prem environments in a hands-on infrastructure and deployment-focused role. This position supports large-scale web and backend applications, with a strong emphasis on AWS infrastructure, Jenkins-based deployments, Docker containerization, web server configuration, automation, and system performance.
Key Responsibilities

Create, modify, and support AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, Lambda, APIs, and related services

Script and maintain Jenkins jobs to support code deployments and remote service management

Configure and support Apache and Nginx web servers

Build and manage Docker containers to support development and vendor needs

Support containerized environments and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or ECS
-
Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using Bash and Python
-
Support application deployment and operations across AWS and on-prem environments in Linux, with Windows experience as a plus

Monitor systems and applications using tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic, or similar platforms

Perform system trend analysis, capacity planning, threshold testing, and performance tuning

Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues in collaboration with internal teams, on-call staff, and vendors

Participate in on-call rotation and incident response

Recommend improvements related to infrastructure, performance, security, and technology lifecycle planning

Prepare technical documentation and formal change implementation plans

Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Required Qualifications

3–5+ years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related infrastructure engineering roles

Strong hands-on experience with AWS
-
Strong Linux system administration experience

Experience scripting with Bash and/or Python
-
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools

Experience building and managing Docker containers

Experience configuring Apache and/or Nginx web servers
-
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet
-
Experience with Git-based version control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or Stash
-
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including load balancing, firewall rules, and certificates
-
Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary technical teams
Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certification

Experience with Windows administration

Experience with Kubernetes or ECS

Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, or SCOM

Experience supporting MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
-
Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, Redmine, Slack, or WebEx Teams
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
