Hiring: Data Engineer – Python/AWS

I’m working with a large financial services organization looking to add a Data Engineer to their team in McLean, VA.
\n
Location: McLean, VA
\n
Pay: $65/hr W2
\n
Duration: 11/2/2026 – 12/3/2027
\n
Interview: One 1-hour Zoom interview
\n
This engineer will work on a Python-based, AWS-native data ingestion platform responsible for moving financial data from source systems into a third-party application.
\n
Key Responsibilities:
\n
• Build and maintain production-grade Python data pipelines
\n
• Develop data ingestion, validation, tokenization, transformation, and publishing processes
\n
• Work across AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Glue, and CDK
\n
• Support Glue/Spark consumers and Flink-based pipelines
\n
• Build rigorous unit and end-to-end testing
\n
• Support system and E2E testing phases
\n
• Remediate security vulnerabilities across code and dependencies
\n
• Ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive financial data
\n
• Work within Git and CI/CD environments
\n
Top Qualifications:
\n
• Strong Python development experience
\n
• Strong hands-on AWS experience
\n
• Experience building production data ingestion or processing pipelines
\n
• Experience with AWS CDK / Infrastructure as Code
\n
• Strong testing, Git, and CI/CD practices
\n
