Job Description VIP staffing is Immediately hiring a Maintenance Tech for a Great organization in Albuquerque, NM This is a Full time Temp to hire position with a Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm Pay for this position is $19 per hour About the Role VIP Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a great company in Albuquerque. This temptohire position offers steady hours, longterm potential, and a consistent daytime schedule. The Maintenance Technician will perform interior and exterior repairs, complete makeready tasks, and support daily maintenance operations with minimal supervision. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a residential housing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance projects and repairs with minimal supervision
- Complete interior and exterior repairs for apartment communities
- Assist with administrative maintenance functions, including:
- Tracking inventory
- Entering work orders
- Maintaining mold/mildew logs, pool logs, and other required records
- Deliver excellent customer service to prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments
- Perform electrical and plumbing repairs as needed
- Paint interior/exterior surfaces
- Conduct lawn and grounds maintenance
- Complete makeready tasks for vacant units
- Respond promptly to work order requests
- Participate in oncall rotation when required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred (HVAC, CPO)
- 1+ year industry experience OR 3+ years general contract maintenance experience
- Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
- Handson maintenance experience required
- Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards (asbestos, lead, mold, radon) as they apply to residential housing
- Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
- General understanding of Microsoft Office; property management software experience preferred
- Ability to be oncall when requested
