Come Join Our Team! The Daughters of Charity, provides a safe, welcoming home for the retired Sisters of the Daughters of Charity Ministries. Our team plays a vital role in creating an environment where Sisters feel respected, through independent living, assisted living and memory care.We are currently seeking a Per Diem Porter to support the daily upkeep and safety of our campus in Menands, NY. This role reports to the Facilities Director and is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a mission-driven community. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in facilities, maintenance, or custodial work is preferred. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. What You'll DoPerform basic maintenance tasks involving electrical and plumbing issues.Perform painting and carpentry tasks, where needed, both interior and exteriorSnow removal from porches, doorways and walkways; application of ice melt where neededMaintain general upkeep of assigned areas.Maintain general building interiorPerform commercial laundry dutiesTrash RemovalPhysical Demands: Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, which may involve the following: standing and walking over 2/3 of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing, bending, reaching, and stooping for 1/3 to 2/3 of the day.Come join us - exciting changes are in the works!Daughters of Charity Ministries, Inc. may obtain "consumer reports" about you from a consumer reporting agency for employment purposes.
