Technical Service Representative
Overview
We are working with a well-established organization in the automotive and metals manufacturing space to identify a Technical Service Representative with a strong quality background. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and collaborating internally to solve complex quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve customer and vendor quality claims
- Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
- Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Partner with operations, sales, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement
- Provide technical support related to steel and aluminum products
- Track and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities
Qualifications
- Experience in automotive and/or metals manufacturing (steel experience preferred)
- Background in quality, technical service, or customer support
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable working with data and Excel
- Effective communication skills in a customer-facing environment
- Engineering degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
