Technical Service Representative


Overview

We are working with a well-established organization in the automotive and metals manufacturing space to identify a Technical Service Representative with a strong quality background. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working directly with customers, and collaborating internally to solve complex quality issues.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve customer and vendor quality claims
  • Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, 8D, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards
  • Act as a liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Partner with operations, sales, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement
  • Provide technical support related to steel and aluminum products
  • Track and analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities


Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive and/or metals manufacturing (steel experience preferred)
  • Background in quality, technical service, or customer support
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Comfortable working with data and Excel
  • Effective communication skills in a customer-facing environment
  • Engineering degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience
