The Role
\n
We are looking for a hands-on Data Scientist who enjoys taking an ambiguous business problem and figuring out the solution from end to end.
\n
You won't always be handed a clean dataset or a perfectly defined modeling problem. You'll work directly with stakeholders to understand what they're trying to solve, identify and prepare the relevant data, determine the right analytical approach, build predictive models, and translate the results into actionable recommendations.
\n
Initial projects will focus on areas such as market analysis, forecasting, profitability, and predictive decision-making, with the opportunity to expand into new use cases as the data science capability develops.

What You'll Do

- Own data science projects from initial business question through delivery
- Find, clean, validate, and analyze complex datasets
- Build predictive models using Python and SQL
- Apply techniques including regression, classification, forecasting, clustering, and feature engineering
- Translate ambiguous business problems into practical analytical solutions
- Evaluate model performance and communicate findings clearly
- Partner closely with business stakeholders and data engineering
- Help identify new opportunities where predictive analytics can improve decision-making
- Manage multiple projects and take genuine ownership of delivery

What We're Looking For
\n
- \n
- 5+ years of professional Data Science experience
- Strong hands-on Python and SQL
- Experience building predictive and statistical models
- Strong data wrangling, exploration, and feature engineering skills
- Experience owning analytical projects end to end
- Comfortable working with messy or incomplete data
- Able to operate effectively in an environment without perfectly defined requirements
- Strong stakeholder communication and business problem-solving skills
- Curious, proactive, and comfortable figuring things out independently
- Experience in a lean team, consulting environment, or similarly hands-on setting is highly desirable
- Databricks experience is a plus
