Blayze Group is partnering with a well-established national General Contractor to appoint a Project Manager with genuine data center construction experience.

\n


\n

This position requires someone who understands the technical infrastructure behind mission critical facilities.

\n


\n

The Role

\n

    \n
  • Manage data center projects from preconstruction through construction, commissioning and turnover
  • \n

  • Coordinate subcontractors across MEP, CSA and mission critical scopes
  • \n

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement, change orders, schedules and project financials
  • \n

  • Coordinate major electrical and mechanical infrastructure including switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, generators, busway, cooling systems and associated controls
  • \n

  • Understand equipment sequencing, redundancy requirements and the interfaces between critical power and cooling systems
  • \n

  • Manage long-lead equipment procurement and installation
  • \n

  • Work closely with Superintendents, commissioning teams, design consultants, owners and trade partners
  • \n

  • Drive projects through testing, commissioning and final handover
  • \n

  • Be prepared to travel to project locations when required, depending on where work is awarded
  • \n

Background Sought

  • Project Manager experience with a General Contractor
  • \n

  • Direct experience delivering data center or mission critical construction projects
  • \n

  • Strong practical understanding of critical electrical and mechanical systems
  • \n

  • Familiarity with PDUs, UPS systems, switchgear, generators, transformers, busway, CRAH/CRAC units and cooling infrastructure
  • \n

  • Able to confidently discuss MEP coordination, equipment installation, energization, testing and commissioning
  • \n

  • Strong subcontractor management and project financial experience
  • \n

  • Based in Dallas/DFW, with the flexibility to travel for projects when required
  • \n
