Maintenance Technician ($26.50 - $30/hour)
Job Description
Job Description
Do you take pride in repairing equipment and keeping machinery running smoothly?
We’re looking for someone eager to learn new machinery and become the go-to person who keeps production moving.
What You’ll Do
- Confirm maintenance priorities with your supervisor and repair plant machinery as needed.
- Keep production moving through scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and equipment servicing.
- Inspect and maintain automatic cartridge-filling machines (tubers) each day.
- Schedule all inspections required for regulatory compliance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, addressing root causes rather than symptoms.
- Coordinate with the onsite Facilities Manager and outside contractors when work requires specialized or licensed expertise.
- Model safe work practices, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, welding and grinding safety, and spill prevention.
What It Takes
- High school diploma or GED; technical school training is a plus.
- At least three years of maintenance experience or an equivalent mix of technical education and hands-on work.
- A strong commitment to safety—never cutting corners.
- A self-starter who identifies what needs to be done and takes action.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills.
- Ability to read schematics and confidently use hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina to stand, crouch, bend, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and residence within 30 minutes of the plant by your start date.
Why This Role?
This hands-on role puts your skills, work ethic, and problem-solving to use every day. You’ll help keep operations running and may advance into leadership because we promote from within whenever possible.
If you’re ready to step up and own your professional growth, we want you on our team.
