We're seeking a Sr. Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician (EOWN) to work at a premier client in Cincinnati, OH, 45237Pay rate and Shiftl Job Duration: 6 Monthl Shift: 2nd Shift ( Thursday- Sunday) SummaryEnsure all process equipment is operating safely and at optimal efficiency. Partner with designated vendors and execute regularly scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Install, wire, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and modify electrical control panels, automation systems, industrial machinery, and process equipment. Work on assignments that are complex in nature and require considerable judgment and initiative. Apply proven troubleshooting experience to make repairs and recommendations based on maintenance and reliability best practices. Utilize experience with electrical, controls, automation, and mechanical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, VFDs, and control circuits. Read, interpret, and utilize complex electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, equipment drawings, and process drawings. Use mathematics, formulas, handbooks, diagnostic tools, and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Provide technical guidance to other employees as required or requested.Job Responsibilities• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations, improve equipment reliability, and implement cost-saving opportunities.• Respond immediately to emergency situations, equipment failures, and customer concerns.• Install and wire electrical control panels, industrial equipment, automation systems, instruments, and associated electrical components.• Troubleshoot electrical systems, PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, VFDs, control circuits, and industrial automation equipment.• Diagnose and repair automation systems, process equipment, industrial machinery, and related electrical and mechanical systems.• Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs and programmable controllers, including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or similar platforms.• Configure, modify, and troubleshoot programmable HMIs and process-control interfaces.• Apply knowledge of electrical and automation fundamentals, including:o AC and DC circuitso Electronics and solderingo 24V and 480V systemso PLCs and programmable controllerso HMIso Variable-frequency driveso Motors and motor-control circuitso Sensors and instrumentationo Airflow and differential-pressure sensorso Temperature controllerso Control valves and actuatorso Advanced automation and process controlso Electrical schematicso Pneumatic systemso Air-handling unitso Exhaust fans• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, equipment drawings, and process-control documentation.• Assist with the installation, commissioning, modification, and troubleshooting of process equipment, machinery, control panels, and facility systems.• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve reliability.• Inspect equipment for unsafe, abnormal, worn, or malfunctioning conditions and initiate corrective actions as required.• Test repaired, installed, or modified equipment to verify that it meets applicable safety, quality, and operational standards.• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting findings, PLC or control-system changes, and equipment modifications.• Document work details through the computerized maintenance management system, CMMS Maximo, and applicable equipment logbooks.• Comply with all company directives, policies, and regulations related to building and equipment operations.• Use smartphones, tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, CMMS applications, and other applicable technologies.• Coordinate and work effectively with outside vendors, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and internal business partners.• Provide technical guidance and support to other employees as required or requested.• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.Safety Requirements• NFPA 70E electrical safety• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)• PPE usage• Respirator use• Tyvek protective suits• Safe work practicesEducation• High school diploma or GED required.Experience• Five years of progressive experience and responsibility in an industrial, manufacturing, facilities, electrical, automation, or equipment-maintenance environment preferred.• Experience installing, wiring, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and control systems preferred.• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motors, VFDs, and industrial automation systems preferred.• Equipment-maintenance experience preferred.• Pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.EquivalencyEquivalent combinations of education, training, certifications, and relevant work experience may be considered.Competencies• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.• Strong electrical, automation, controls, and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.• Ability to define problems, identify root causes, and resolve issues quickly.• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.• Desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed.• Advocate for change, reliability improvements, and continuous improvement.• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical process and manufacturing equipment.• Familiarity with the operation and compliance requirements of a cGMP facility.• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.• Ability to work and communicate effectively with outside vendors, contractors, and internal departments.• Basic computer skills and comfort using software applications, mobile applications, automation interfaces, and computer programs.• Ability to learn new tasks and accept additional responsibilities.• Ability to work independently and provide guidance to other employees when needed.Physical Requirements:Works in a lab, manufacturing, and/or warehouse environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Occasional periods of high noise level, which requires hearing protection, may exist. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional local travel may be required.
