Job Description:
USPRO Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to support a well-established, full-service engineering firm serving complex industrial and process-driven environments.
This position will support electrical engineering and design efforts associated with new facilities, facility expansions, upgrades, and the integration of new electrical systems into existing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on electrical engineering experience along with the ability to take ownership of projects and provide technical leadership throughout the design and execution process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support electrical engineering and design activities for industrial and process-related projects.
- Assess existing electrical systems and infrastructure to determine capacity and project requirements.
- Develop electrical designs supporting new facilities, expansions, retrofits, and plant upgrades.
- Support the integration of new electrical systems and equipment into existing facilities.
- Develop and review electrical drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project design and execution.
- Coordinate electrical requirements with process, mechanical, civil/structural, instrumentation and controls, and other engineering disciplines.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
- Support field activities, existing-condition assessments, troubleshooting, and project implementation as required.
- Help ensure electrical designs meet applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project specifications.
Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated professional experience in electrical engineering within industrial, manufacturing, chemical/process, pharmaceutical, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and facility electrical systems.
- Experience supporting electrical design for new construction, facility expansions, retrofits, or plant upgrades.
- Ability to read, develop, and review electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and engineering practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead electrical engineering activities and work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical system capacity assessments and infrastructure upgrades.
- Industrial power distribution system design.
- Arc Flash and/or Lightning Protection studies.
- Chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or process manufacturing facilities.
- Multidiscipline engineering and design projects.
- Brownfield/retrofit projects involving integration with existing facility infrastructure.
