Tensley Consulting is seeking an experienced System Administrator to support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. This position includes CONUS and OCONUS travel.
Education/Experience
Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Salary: $160,000 - $180,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.

Experience managing the daily configuration and operation of IT system infrastructure
Experience providing Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, including problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
Experience supporting day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution across client/server, storage, network, and mobile device environments
Experience troubleshooting complex IT system issues
Experience configuring and managing Windows and UNIX operating systems
Experience installing, maintaining, and updating operating system software
Experience maintaining system integrity and configuring network components
Experience optimizing system performance, operations, and resource utilization
Experience performing system capacity analysis and planning
Experience supporting hardware troubleshooting and dispatch system operations
Experience providing technical analysis and status updates for escalated issues to management and stakeholders
Experience supporting system architecture design and hardware integration
Working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and system administration interdependencies
Experience analyzing and resolving server hardware, application, and software integration issues
