Union Handyman / Maintenance Technician – Residential Property
Location: Upper East Side, Manhattan
Pay: $33.59/hour
Union: 32BJ
Established residential property management company is seeking an experienced Handyman / Maintenance Technician for a residential property on the Upper East Side.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on building maintenance experience and be comfortable responding to resident repair requests and performing general apartment and property maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout residential property
- Diagnose and perform basic repairs on HVAC and PTAC units
- Painting, plastering, patching and wall repairs
- Basic carpentry and general handyman work
- Assist with apartment turnovers and preparation of vacant units
- Respond to tenant maintenance and repair requests
- Troubleshoot general building maintenance issues
- Maintain building common areas and equipment as needed
Requirements:
- Previous residential building maintenance or handyman experience
- HVAC/PTAC experience required
- Painting and plastering experience required
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a building maintenance team
- Reliable and professional
Compensation: $33.59 per hour
