Job Description

Company Description Mariner Logistics is a Dallas-Fort Worth-based, asset-backed 4PL offering freight brokerage, managed transportation, and warehousing/fulfillment — combining owned trucks, trailers, and warehouse space with proprietary technology to give shippers the accountability a purely asset-light model can't.

\n

Role Description The Project Manager, IT & Process Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Coppell, TX. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing IT and process improvement projects that support logistics and operational efficiency.

\n

Core Responsibilities

\n

Customer Onboarding — Own customer onboarding project management end-to-end (phased ramp — first 6 months structured as a training/transition period).

\n

Internal Projects — Support and grow into leading internal IT projects and process improvement initiatives (EDI/system migrations, tooling rollouts, vendor implementations).

\n

Jira/Confluence & Hubspot — Own administration after ramp-up — workflow design, board structure, and process improvements — partnering with the application support team for technical builds like automations or workflow fixes.

\n

Application Portfolio — Build working knowledge across the broader application portfolio (Trackflo, Sage, Navix, Turvo) to guide solution design and pull/update data for projects.

\n

Stakeholder Coordination — Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (ops, data/reporting, Leverage IT, offshore development) to keep projects on schedule.

\n

Project Tracking — Maintain project tracking hygiene and status reporting.

\n

Analytics — Use reporting/analytics dashboards to track project outcomes and help identify root causes of recurring issues.

\n

Vendor Management — Support vendor management during gaps between projects.

\n

Qualifications

\n

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

\n

• A track record of taking initiative — prior roles, coursework, internships, part-time work, or personal projects driven independently.

\n

• Comfortable asking good questions and working independently once ramped, rather than needing constant direction.

\n

• Analytical instinct — wants to know why something happened, not just what.

\n

• Strong written and verbal communication; customer-facing role.

\n

• Experience in logistics or supply chain tech a plus, not required.

\n

    \n
  • Hybrid role based in Coppell, TX — in office 3+ days per week
  • \n

  • Some travel required a few times per year
  • \n

About Us

\n

Mariner Logistics is a Coppell, Texas-based logistics provider built around a simple idea: shippers deserve more accountability than a traditional broker can offer. Founded in 2019, Mariner operates as an asset-based 4PL, combining freight brokerage, managed transportation, and warehousing and fulfillment with owned infrastructure — more than 300 company tractors, 800+ trailers, and over 1 million square feet of Class-A warehouse space. That ownership model means Mariner doesn't just orchestrate freight from the outside; it stands behind the outcome. The company serves fast-scaling companies across industries including pharma and life sciences, government and military, industrial manufacturing, retail, energy, and high-tech, and backs its operations with proprietary technology like Mariner Live for real-time visibility and a rigorous carrier-vetting program. With dedicated account teams (not rotating reps), 24/7 control tower coverage, and a culture that treats complexity as a competitive advantage, Mariner is scaling quickly under new CEO Justin Turner while staying true to its founding philosophy: one throat to choke, and it's ours.
