GH Engage is partnering with a growing data center owner/operator looking to appoint a Critical Facilities Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across a mission-critical facility in the Chicago market.
\n
\n
This is a senior site leadership position responsible for 24/7 critical operations, engineering teams, maintenance strategy, customer service and operational performance.

The Role
\n
\n
You will:
\n
- \n
- Lead Critical Facilities Technicians and engineering personnel
- Oversee 24/7 facility operations and critical infrastructure
- Manage preventive, corrective and contracted maintenance
- Review and approve MOPs, SOPs, EOPs and change controls
- Lead incident response and operational escalation
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and operating standards
- Manage contractors and specialist vendors
- Support customer requirements, audits and site tours
- Assist with OPEX/CAPEX planning and forecasting
- Support infrastructure upgrades and capital projects
- Drive continuous improvement across site operations

What We’re Looking For
\n
\n
- \n
- 5+ years in data center, mission-critical or critical facilities operations
- Experience leading technical engineering or facilities teams
- Strong understanding of critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure
- Experience with preventive maintenance and operational procedures
- Knowledge of change control, MOPs, SOPs and EOPs
- Strong incident-management and problem-solving skills
- Customer-facing experience
- Electrical or mechanical licences are highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a 24/7 operational environment
