Role Description

\n

The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and repair on building systems, apartment interiors, common areas, and community amenities. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, completing work orders in a timely manner, and conducting preventive maintenance on equipment and building components.

The Maintenance Technician will assist with unit turns, inspections, and vendor coordination, while helping ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance throughout the property. This role also involves interacting with residents in a professional manner, communicating service updates, and supporting the onsite team in delivering a high-quality living experience.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Maintenance & Repair abilities.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess experience in Industrial Maintenance or similar building systems work.
  • \n

  • Understanding of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • \n

  • Ability to use maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and work order systems safely and effectively.
  • \n

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple service requests.
  • \n

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and team members.
  • \n

  • Ability to work on-site, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed; capacity to lift, climb, and perform physical tasks safely.
  • \n

  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior multifamily or property maintenance experience preferred.
