We are looking for a Leasing Assistant to support day-to-day leasing operations and deliver a positive experience for prospective and current residents in New Jersey. This position combines administrative coordination, customer interaction, and document management to help keep leasing activity organized and efficient. The ideal candidate is responsive and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced property environment.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate daily support activities for the leasing function, helping the team stay organized and responsive to prospective residents.
• Arrange property showings, confirm appointments, and ensure visitors receive timely communication before and after tours.
• Create, review, and organize leasing files, resident applications, and renewal documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
• Enter and maintain resident and prospect information in property management platforms so records remain current and reliable.
• Assist with advertising efforts by updating online listings and helping present available units effectively across marketing channels.
• Reach out to prospective residents to answer questions, encourage next steps, and help maintain strong leasing momentum.
• Partner with maintenance personnel to confirm apartments are prepared for showings, move-ins, and resident turnover.
• Manage application-related tasks, including collecting supporting documents and coordinating screening steps as needed.
• Provide courteous and attentive service when assisting residents, guests, and prospective tenants in person, by phone, and through email.
• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, customer service, or leasing support role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of individuals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with property management systems such as Yardi or AppFolio is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail when handling records and documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy work environment.
• Background or exposure to benefits-related functions such as benefits coordination, COBRA administration, leave of absence support, or compensation and benefits is a plus.
