Senior Project Manager | Large-Scale Affordable Housing Rehabilitation
Salary: $175,000 – $220,000
Location: New York City
A rapidly growing General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Developer is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale affordable housing rehabilitation projects throughout New York City. With more than 30 years of experience, the firm has completed over $1.3 billion in construction, delivered 200+ buildings, and created or preserved 7,500+ affordable homes. The company specializes in complex occupied rehabilitation, large-scale residential renovations, new construction, and community-focused developments, with one of the strongest affordable housing pipelines in the region.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple large-scale affordable housing rehabilitation projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, and cost reporting.
- Coordinate owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and field teams throughout all phases of construction.
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Mentor Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers while leading project teams.
- Build and maintain strong client, owner, and subcontractor relationships.
- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or Developer.
- Extensive experience managing large-scale occupied rehabilitation and affordable housing construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and construction sequencing.
- Proven ability to lead project teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
