Maintenance Assistant / Transportation Driver – Full-Time, Split Position

The Gardens at Gettysburg is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant / Transportation Driver to join our team in Gettysburg, PA. This full-time split-position role combines general facility maintenance with transporting residents to appointments and other destinations as needed. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to providing a comfortable environment for our residents.

Schedule: Full-Time | Split Position

Responsibilities

Maintenance

• Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, and windows

• Assist with trash removal and general upkeep of the building and grounds

• Complete routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs as assigned

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors

Transportation

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments and other scheduled destinations

• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed

• Ensure the vehicle is clean and maintained in safe operating condition

• Follow all traffic laws, facility transportation policies, and safety procedures

• Maintain a courteous and professional manner when interacting with residents and their families

• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, transportation, or a related field preferred

• Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license

• Ability to safely assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles

• Familiarity with basic repair tools and routine maintenance tasks preferred

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• CNA license preferred, but not required

• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to work a split schedule
