This is a hands-on leadership opportunity overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and presentation of a large university campus, ensuring a safe, compliant, and exceptional environment for students, staff, and visitors.

The Role

\n

As the Director of Facilities, you'll:

\n

    \n
  • Lead the day-to-day management of campus facilities, maintenance, custodial, and grounds operations.
  • \n

  • Manage, coach, and develop facilities personnel, supervisors, and operational teams.
  • \n

  • Ensure all buildings, infrastructure, and building systems are maintained to a high standard.
  • \n

  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programs across the campus.
  • \n

  • Coordinate event setups and operational support for campus activities.
  • \n

  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • \n

  • Manage budgets, purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
  • \n

  • Prepare operational and maintenance reports for senior leadership.
  • \n

  • Build strong relationships with university stakeholders, contractors, and service partners.
  • \n

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and service delivery.
  • \n

You

\n

To be successful in the role of Director of Facilities, you'll bring:

\n

    \n
  • 3-5+ years' experience within Facilities Management, ideally in higher education, K-12, healthcare, or other large institutional environments.
  • \n

  • Proven experience leading facilities, maintenance, custodial, or building operations teams.
  • \n

  • Strong leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • \n

  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and operational budgets.
  • \n

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • \n

  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • \n

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, although equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
  • \n
