W2 hourly Contract Only
Contract length: 6 months
Pay rate: $55/hr
Location: Remote (must be local to Columbia, SC)
Overview
Seeking an experienced EDI Application Developer / Analyst to support and enhance healthcare EDI systems in a UNIX/Linux environment. This role involves EDI application support, troubleshooting, development, system enhancements, and customer issue resolution related to file submissions and report retrieval.
Responsibilities
- Support existing EDI front-end and translator systems using ANSI X12/5010 standards.
- Assist with implementation of new EDI solutions and system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot issues within multi-tier distributed applications and databases.
- Analyze, design, develop, test, and maintain complex applications.
- Work with business partners and technical teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
- Research and resolve customer issues related to EDI processing.
- Perform system testing, debugging, documentation, and post-production support.
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with EDI (ANSI X12/5010).
- Strong UNIX/Linux command-line and shell scripting skills.
- Experience troubleshooting multi-tier application environments.
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Strong SQL and database integration experience (Oracle or open-source databases).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Python
- APIs, LDAP, and authentication technologies
- AWS or cloud platforms
- AI or automated testing experience
- Healthcare or Medicare EDI experience
