Facilities Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our approximately 35,000 sq. ft. CNC manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, utilities, and general facility infrastructure to ensure a safe, clean, and properly functioning work environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, self-motivated, and capable of independently handling routine maintenance and repairs while coordinating outside vendors and contractors for more complex projects. Responsibilities will also include performing basic preventative maintenance on CNC mills and lathes and coordinating specialized machine repairs with equipment manufacturers and service providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, painting, and general repairs.
- Oversee the general upkeep of the building, grounds, parking areas, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor equipment and facility conditions and proactively identify maintenance needs.
- Coordinate outside contractors and service providers for specialized repairs, inspections, and facility improvements.
- Coordinate machine tool service and repairs with CNC manufacturers and qualified technicians.
- Establish and maintain routine preventative maintenance schedules and service records.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related mechanical field.
- Experience with CNC machines, machine tools, or other industrial mechanical systems is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- General knowledge of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to independently perform routine maintenance and repairs using common hand and power tools.
- Ability to coordinate outside contractors, vendors, and service technicians.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a facility and enjoys hands-on work. This is not a purely supervisory position. The successful candidate will take ownership of day-to-day facility maintenance, handle routine repairs independently, and know when to bring in outside expertise for more specialized work.
