Full Stack Software Engineer (React / Node.js)

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity with a Major Investment Firm

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid - 3 Days/Week Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months (Contract-to-Hire)

Pay Rate: Up to $70/hour W2 (Based on Experience)

\n

Employment Type: W2 Only (No C2C)

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a strong emphasis on React and Node.js development to join a growing technology team supporting enterprise applications within a leading financial services organization.

\n

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building modern, scalable web applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You'll work on innovative digital initiatives that directly support business growth while leveraging modern cloud technologies and development best practices.

What You'll Do

\n

    \n
  • Build scalable, high-quality applications using modern development standards and architectural best practices
  • \n

  • Develop responsive front-end applications using React.js
  • \n

  • Design and build backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js
  • \n

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and fellow Engineers to deliver business-critical solutions
  • \n

  • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to application architecture
  • \n

  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • \n

  • Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated testing solutions
  • \n

  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions
  • \n

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adopt emerging technologies
  • \n

  • Work within Agile teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • Strong hands-on experience with React.js, including Hooks, state management, and component-based architecture
  • \n

  • Solid backend development experience using Node.js (Express and/or NestJS)
  • \n

  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript
  • \n

  • Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
  • \n

  • Experience building applications using microservices architecture
  • \n

  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, API Gateway, and Lambda
  • \n

  • Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and AWS ECS or EKS
  • \n

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
  • \n

  • Understanding of AWS infrastructure concepts including VPC, IAM, Load Balancers, and Auto Scaling
  • \n

  • Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB
  • \n

  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch
  • \n

Preferred Experience

\n

    \n
  • Experience working within enterprise-scale application environments
  • \n

  • Knowledge of React best practices for building responsive, scalable user interfaces
  • \n

  • Exposure to cloud-native application development
  • \n

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • \n

  • Financial services experience is a plus
  • \n
