Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Reports to: Sr. Manager, LINK Process Technology Team

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Employment Type: Full-Time

Employment Classification: Exempt

Schedule: Day shift (8AM-5PM)

This position may require rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, and extended hours based on business needs. Work schedules will be administered in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Summary:

As a Supervisor I, Maintenance, you will provide both technical expertise and frontline leadership to ensure stable production operations and continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on engineering technician responsibilities with people leadership responsibilities, supporting both operational excellence and team development.
You will actively perform maintenance, support production troubleshooting, defect management, customer audit readiness, and engineering improvement activities while leading a team of Technicians to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and operational goals. You will collaborate closely with Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to maintain efficient operations and develop a high-performing workforce.

Position Focus:

  • 50% Technical Responsibilities
    • Perform hands-on maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and repairs
    • Production troubleshooting and equipment support
    • Defect inventory management and rework execution
    • Engineering trial support and DFM feedback
    • Customer audit readiness and technical documentation
  • 50% Supervisory Responsibilities
    • Daily workforce planning and work assignment
    • Manage technicians attendance, scheduling, and workforce allocation
    • Recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and employee development
    • Team communication, employee engagement, and departmental coordination

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily acitivities and assign work priorities to technology technicians based on production requirements
  • Manage technicians attendance, scheduling, overtime and workforce allocation to support operational needs
  • provide coaching, performance feedback, and employee development through regular communication and performance evaluation
  • Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and training of new technicians
  • Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and work standards
  • Communicate production updates, technology priorities, policy changes, and operational expectations to team members
  • Provide first-response technical support by assisting engineers with troubleshooting production equipment and process issues
  • Perform and supervise rework activities involving Electrical, HVAC, Mechanical, and Communication/PLC components in accordance with engineering guidelines
  • Support mass production stabilization by documenting troubleshooting activities and defect histories for engineering analysis
  • Manage defect inventory and material disposition while ensuring inventory accuracy between physical stock and system records
  • Support field testing, engineering trials, and Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) improvement initiatives through accurate data collection and feedback
  • Prepare production areas for customer audits by ensuring equipment readiness, material organization, and visual quality standards
  • Maintain and update technical documentation including SOPs, Quality Alerts, Rework Guides, and engineering records
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
    • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
    • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or technical certificate in engineering, electrical, mechanical, industrial technology, or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 3 to 6+ years of maintenance or equipment experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 to 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • 2 to 5+ years of skilled trades experience preferred

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance practices
  • Understanding of industrial equipment, troubleshooting, and repair processes
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
