Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily maintenance team activities to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion and effective resource utilization.
  • Respond to equipment downtime with urgency, coordinating repairs and troubleshooting to minimize production interruptions.
  • Implement preventive maintenance and downtime reduction initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
  • Monitor maintenance performance through visual management tools, reports, and key performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE requirements, housekeeping (5S), and other workplace safety standards.
  • Coordinate parts, materials, and supplies required to complete maintenance activities.
  • Verify repair quality by testing equipment and confirming proper operation before returning it to service.
  • Communicate and coordinate repair activities across shifts to ensure seamless handoffs and minimize production impact.
  • Support the development and training of maintenance team members through coaching and skill development.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and equipment performance.
  • Manage maintenance-related projects from planning through execution and completion.
  • Escalate critical equipment issues as needed to ensure appropriate support and resources are available.
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment through effective communication and leadership.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and documentation.
  • Work additional hours when necessary to support operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and work order processes is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to coach, develop, and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Willingness to work overtime or flexible schedules as business needs require.
