Position Summary\n

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the reliability, safety, and efficiency of plant equipment and production operations. This role is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, supporting PLC and computer systems, maintaining spare-parts inventory, responding to emergency breakdowns, and assisting with continuous improvement projects.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical, electrical, computer, and PLC troubleshooting skills who can work independently while providing positive guidance to other maintenance team members.

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Maintain and securely save all computer and PLC system backups.
  • \n

  • Manage and maintain spare parts for computer and PLC systems across all plant equipment.
  • \n

  • Respond to waste treatment breakdowns and repair requests as needed.
  • \n

  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and maintenance calls.
  • \n

  • Support improvement projects as directed by the Plant Engineer.
  • \n

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • \n

  • Serve as an after-hours, 24-hour responder for equipment breakdowns via company cell phone.
  • \n

  • Provide positive technical guidance and support to lower-level maintenance technicians.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate repair and replacement inventory lists for computer and PLC components.
  • \n

  • Communicate inventory and replacement needs to the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • \n

  • Support plant-wide housekeeping and 5S activities as needed.
  • \n

  • Understand and support the importance of maintenance in keeping waste treatment and production operations running efficiently.
  • \n

  • Understand procedures for opening and closing the plant.
  • \n

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Understand and properly follow the RMF Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) system.
  • \n

  • Understand confined-space entry requirements and other applicable safety procedures.
  • \n

  • Understand and follow the RMF Maintenance Escalation Plan.
  • \n

  • Maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses.
  • \n

  • Be aware of the company Management System Policy.
  • \n

  • Understand company Quality and Environmental Objectives.
  • \n

  • Understand the significant environmental aspects associated with your work area and job responsibilities.
  • \n

  • Support successful OSHA audits through proper adherence to safety procedures and documentation.
  • \n

  • Maintain and support the scheduled preventive maintenance system.
  • \n

  • Handle maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
  • \n

  • Contribute to weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance KPIs.
  • \n

  • Promote safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • \n

  • Maintain high standards of work-area organization and cleanliness.
  • \n

  • Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • \n

Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Certification\n

    \n
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • \n

  • Mechatronics Certification preferred.
  • \n

Experience\n

    \n
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
  • \n

  • Maintenance Technician Level 2 experience preferred.
  • \n

Technical Skills\n

    \n
  • PLC troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
  • \n

  • Strong computer skills.
  • \n

  • Experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and repair.
  • \n

  • Ability to perform unit conversions between U.S. customary and metric measurements.
  • \n

  • Project management skills and experience supporting maintenance or improvement projects.
  • \n

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • \n

  • Ability to diagnose problems, determine appropriate repairs, and return equipment to service safely.
  • \n

Additional Responsibilities & Limitations\n

  • Work with the Plant Engineer regarding maintenance-related disciplinary issues when requested.
  • \n

  • Understand and follow established plant procedures and maintenance escalation processes.
  • \n

  • Work collaboratively with production, waste treatment, engineering, and maintenance personnel.
  • \n

  • Do not change chemistry set points or chemistry types.
  • \n

  • Do not add new personnel or make changes to employee work schedules.
  • \n
