Immediate opening for a Networking Engineer in the Columbia, MD area who possesses:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of relevant experience supporting, implementing, and maintaining internet or network infrastructure
- Strong networking fundamentals with hands-on network engineering experience
- Command-line experience and ability to support network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Military or government experience preferred
FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a Networking Engineer to support an Intelligence Community customer in the development, deployment, integration, and maintenance of specialized network and systems infrastructure. This onsite role will support stand-alone networks, internet infrastructure components, specialized hardware and software, technical network analysis, and operational mission requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong networking fundamentals, hands-on command-line and network configuration experience, an active TS/SCI clearance, and the ability to work effectively within customer environments while supporting a small, highly technical engineering team.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing, testing, and deploying complex network environments
- Supporting IEEE 802.3, UDP, TCP/IP, and related networking technologies
- Performing technical network analysis
- Reviewing and interpreting network, application, and service configurations
- Analyzing technical documentation to understand existing infrastructure and system requirements
- Standing up and maintaining stand-alone networks
- Supporting server, host, and network components used for processing and analysis
- Deploying and maintaining internet infrastructure components
- Planning deployment of specialized hardware and software
- Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining mission-support equipment
- Supporting command-line configuration and troubleshooting activities
- Identifying and resolving network and systems issues
- Supporting operational mission planning as needed
- Coordinating equipment, resources, travel, and technical requirements for operational deployments
- Reading and interpreting electrical, low-voltage, and cabling schematics
- Supporting low-voltage and building power activities as needed
- Providing hands-on support involving cabling, electrical, and related infrastructure
- Supporting general facility or property-related technical needs including carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, masonry, and HVAC when necessary
- Working closely with onsite customer teams and technical leads
- Supporting specialized hardware and software integrations
- Traveling domestically to customer locations as mission requirements dictate
- Performing other duties as assigned
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Active TS/SCI clearance required
- Bachelor's degree with 4 to 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 2 to 7 years of relevant experience preferred
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Cyber Operations, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Assurance, or a related technical field preferred
- Relevant trade certification or license may be considered
- 4+ years of relevant networking, systems, or infrastructure experience required
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals required
- Hands-on network engineering experience required
- Experience implementing and maintaining internet infrastructure required
- Experience with TCP/IP and UDP networking required
- Command-line experience preferred
- Experience configuring network equipment, systems, or infrastructure preferred
- Ability to analyze technical network documentation required
- Experience standing up and maintaining stand-alone networks preferred
- Experience supporting servers, hosts, network equipment, and related infrastructure preferred
- Experience deploying specialized hardware and software preferred
- Ability to read electrical, low-voltage, and cabling schematics required
- Experience with low-voltage or building power work preferred
- Working knowledge of general construction or property management functions such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, or masonry preferred
- Military or government experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting operational or mission planning preferred
- Ability to work effectively within government or customer environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from senior technical personnel
- Ability to adapt to changing mission requirements and technical priorities
- Ability to travel domestically approximately twice per month as needed
- Ability to work onsite with no remote work option

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and move throughout office, technical, equipment, and customer environments as needed
- Ability to work at a computer and command-line interface for extended periods
- Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, cabling, equipment configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and technical tasks
- Ability to visually inspect network equipment, cabling, schematics, hardware, documentation, and computer screens for extended periods
- Ability to work around servers, network hardware, cabling, electrical systems, low-voltage infrastructure, and related technical equipment
- Ability to occasionally perform hands-on installation, maintenance, or facility-related support tasks
- Ability to travel by vehicle and air to domestic customer locations as required
- Ability to transport or move technical equipment, tools, cables, and related materials as needed
- Ability to follow all customer site, security, safety, and access-control requirements
- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, situational awareness, and attention to detail while working in secure customer environments
Salary Range: $145,000 to $150,000/year
