  • Work with 3-phase and single-phase 480 V power in an industrial environment, following safe work practices and applicable standards.
  • Troubleshoot control loops and systems using simple AC, DC, or milliamp (mA) control signals, and accurately read and interpret electrical prints and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), particularly systems using Allen-Bradley platforms, to support reliable machine operation.
  • Align various types of equipment including motors, gearboxes, couplings, and pulleys using both magnetic dial indicator and straight-edge methods.
  • Perform maintenance and repair on overhead cranes ranging from 1 to 10 tons, including hoist maintenance, bridge maintenance, and motor and electrical repair.
  • Conduct mobile equipment maintenance on forklifts, tugs, and small vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently as part of daily work activities.
  • Work comfortably at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks, and perform tasks in tight or confined spaces when required.
  • Apply good housekeeping practices in all work areas and maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment.
  • Use mechanical fabrication and installation skills, including performing calculations for fits, tolerances, and layouts.
  • Apply electrical diagnostic skills using principles such as Ohms law to identify and correct electrical issues.
  • Utilize tools and equipment such as multimeters and amp meters, oxy-acetylene welding and cutting equipment, arc welders, drilling and tapping tools, hand and power tools, drill presses, pipe threading machines, forklifts, wiring tools, and conduit bending equipment.
  • Support film blowing and injection molding equipment through effective maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Lift materials and equipment frequently, up to 70 pounds, while adhering to safe lifting practices.
  • Work in high-temperature conditions, including environments exceeding 100 degrees, and climb stairs and work at heights up to approximately 75 feet.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing operation by responding to maintenance needs promptly and supporting continuous production.

  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, with familiarity in Allen-Bradley systems preferred.
  • Ability to align motors, gearboxes, couplings, and pulleys using magnetic dial indicator and straight-edge methods.
  • Hands-on experience with overhead cranes (1 to 10 tons), including hoist, bridge, motor, and electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Experience with mobile equipment maintenance, including forklifts, tugs, and small vehicles, and the ability to operate a forklift.
  • Comfort working at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and catwalks, and in tight or confined spaces.
