Apartment Porter
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Apartment Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming apartment community. This is a physically demanding position that requires experience and comfort with moving heavy appliances.
Responsibilities:
- Safely move, load, unload, and relocate refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other heavy appliances
- Assist with removing old appliances and placing replacements inside apartment units
- Use proper lifting techniques and moving equipment to prevent injury or property damage
- Pick up trash and debris throughout the property
- Maintain breezeways, stairwells, sidewalks, parking lots, and common areas
- Clean and organize dumpster and compactor areas
- Assist the maintenance team with unit turns and make-ready duties
- Complete pressure washing and other general cleaning tasks
- Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to management
Requirements:
- Must be physically capable of safely lifting and moving heavy appliances
- Previous experience moving appliances or heavy equipment strongly preferred
- Apartment porter, groundskeeping, warehouse, or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and stand throughout the shift
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable transportation
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday
