Job description:
\n
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
\n
• 10 to 12 years in data engineering and data architecture, with at least 3 years as a hands-on architect on a delivery team
\n
• Databricks
\n
• At least 3 years in production: Unity Catalog (governance, lineage, ABAC), Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, Lakehouse Federation, Delta Sharing
\n
• Semantic layer
\n
• Built a governed semantic or metrics layer (Databricks metric views, dbt metrics,) used by more than one team
\n
• Conversational and agentic AI
\n
• Delivered at least one Genie, text-to-SQL or LLM agent solution beyond a demo, including evaluation of answer accuracy
\n
• Engineering
\n
• Strong SQL and Python; PySpark; Git and CI/CD for data assets
\n
• Data modelling
\n
• Conformed dimensions, common keys across sources, reconciliation of figures to a system of record
\n
• Governance
\n
• Access control, lineage, data sharing and versioning of definitions in a multi-team or multi-entity setup
\n
• Communication
\n
• Explains design choices to business and technology leaders in plain terms; runs workshops; writes clearly
