Based in Rockford, IL 61109, you’ll be the go-to expert ensuring every product reflects uncompromising standards. Your morning may start on the production floor, validating processes and sampling parts. By midday, you’re analyzing findings, documenting nonconformances, and guiding teams through corrective actions. You’ll close the day refining procedures, training colleagues on best practices, and preparing concise reports that spotlight quality trends.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute product and process inspections, audits, and verifications against internal and customer quality criteria.
- Detect, document, and communicate quality issues; collaborate cross-functionally to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Create, update, and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans.
- Coach and train team members on quality standards, measurement techniques, and compliance expectations.
- Analyze data sets, produce clear metrics dashboards, and highlight trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives that elevate product quality and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and interpret applicable industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Hands-on experience in quality control/assurance within manufacturing or similar environments.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, durometers, blueprints, and optical comparators.
- Capability to conduct internal audits aligned to AS9100 and IATF 16949.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and related tools; proficient in Microsoft Office and quality software.
- Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and clear communication.
- Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Experience with New-Inspect is a plus.
