Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Aerospace Systems Engineer for a full-time, onsite position in Simi Valley, CA. The successful candidate will support embedded software platforms under the direction of the Director of Engineering and in collaboration with various engineering departments. This role focuses on requirements management, verification and validation, customer interaction, and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and import documents into requirements databases and manage changes effectively.
- Export documents, report, and collect metrics as needed.
- Travel to customer sites for system integration and troubleshooting.
- Act as the technical point of contact for customers, responding to technical inquiries via calls and emails.
- Create and manage accounts, access, permissions, and administer the requirements management tool.
- Oversee requirements across multiple programs and support training, policies, procedures, and work instructions related to requirements management.
- Document and drive acceptance and qualification test plans, procedures, reports, and stage-gate technical criteria.
- Support hardware-level requirements validation, verification, system-level testing, and ensure bi-directional traceability and closure of requirements.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in requirements management and verification and validation processes.
- Experience in systems engineering and customer-facing technical support.
- Knowledge of embedded software platforms and requirements traceability.
- Experience in acceptance and qualification testing.
- Strong background in hardware-level validation and system-level testing.
- Understanding of basic software and electrical engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with motor control systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
- At least 5 years of recent experience in requirements management and verification and validation with customer-facing responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and technical documentation expertise.
- Knowledge of military standards and government subcontract/RFP processes is a plus.
Work Environment
This position offers a 9/80 schedule, providing a balanced work-life integration. The role requires onsite presence in Simi Valley, CA, and involves travel to customer sites for integration and troubleshooting. The work environment is fast-paced, focusing on collaborative efforts across various engineering departments to achieve project goals.

This is a Permanent position based out of Simi Valley, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
Vision, Medical, dental 5% bonus's 9/80 schedule
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Simi Valley,CA.
