Job Title: Custodial Worker - 2nd or 3rd Shift

Job Description

As a Custodial Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining an assigned area of custodial duties according to defined and acceptable standards. You will represent the institution with professionalism and competency, handling various building schedules while serving students, staff, and faculty. You will work efficiently and effectively in a team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate scrubber and waxer machines.
  • Perform cleaning, sweeping, and mopping tasks.
  • Remove trash and waste materials.
  • Engage in janitorial duties including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing.
  • Complete all assigned custodial tasks in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with scrubber and waxer operation.
  • Proficiency in cleaning, trash removal, and housekeeping.
  • Strong understanding of janitorial and custodial duties.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Two years' experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • Ability to work overtime upon supervisor's request.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Essential Personnel Status for institution.
  • Sensitivity to issues of ethnicity, disability, and diversity.
  • Dedication to the mission of a small, Catholic, liberal arts institution.

Work Environment

Work in a campus university setting with multiple student and staff-occupied buildings. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 2:30 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, or 3rd shift, 10pm - 6:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break. Dress code requires a red/maroon top (polo or shirt), dark pants, and sneakers. You will receive a uniform after 1-2 weeks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Center Valley, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
