Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to serve as the primary liaison between customers, engineering, quality, operations, and sales teams. This role is responsible for managing customer programs from concept through production, ensuring successful project execution, clear communication, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

The Engineering Program Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives, support new product launches, coordinate engineering changes, and provide technical expertise to both customers and internal stakeholders. This position requires a strong combination of project management, engineering knowledge, and customer-facing leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead customer programs and projects from new product introduction through production launch.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts and programs.
  • Facilitate communication between customers, engineering, quality, operations, and leadership teams.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, and resource requirements to ensure successful execution.
  • Support and coordinate all activities related to New Product Launch (NPL) initiatives.
  • Oversee engineering change requests and collaborate with Process and Quality Engineering teams to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide on-site engineering support and technical guidance at customer locations as needed.
  • Review and manage customer drawings, specifications, and document revisions to maintain compliance with internal and customer requirements.
  • Advocate for customer needs while aligning solutions with company capabilities and objectives.
  • Assist customers and internal engineering teams with design reviews, CAD modeling support, and manufacturability considerations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and implementation of new technologies.
  • Support IATF quality system requirements and compliance initiatives.
  • Coordinate technical specifications and project documentation for new product development activities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in engineering program management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Project schedules, presentations, and reporting tools.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and working with CAD viewing software.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems and manufacturing processes.


Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC machining experience.
  • Die casting experience.
  • Experience supporting automotive or IATF-certified manufacturing environments.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
