Job DescriptionCivil Project Engineer – Land Development
Location: Newport Beach , California
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time Our client, an established civil engineering consulting firm in Orange County, is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join its growing Land Development team. This is an excellent opportunity for a civil engineering professional looking to take on greater project responsibility while continuing to develop technically within a collaborative consulting environment. The successful candidate will support a variety of land development projects throughout Southern California and work closely with senior engineers, project managers, clients, and public agencies.
Responsibilities • Prepare and support civil engineering plans for land development projects
• Assist with grading, drainage, utility, street, and site development design
• Prepare technical calculations, reports, exhibits, and construction documents
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and reviewing agencies
• Support projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction phases
• Assist with project schedules, deliverables, and quality control
• Review plans and technical documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Work closely with senior engineers and project managers on multiple concurrent projects
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Professional experience in civil engineering and land development
• Experience with grading, drainage, utilities, and site development
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Knowledge of Southern California design standards and agency requirements is preferred
• EIT certification preferred
• PE license or active progression toward PE licensure is an asset
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Compensation $80,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience.
