About the Role
We're looking for a Data Analyst to turn scattered, inconsistent data into decisions leadership can act on. You'll integrate and validate data from multiple sources, build the dashboards and reports that stakeholders actually use, and surface the trends and performance drivers that move operational and mission outcomes. This role sits inside an advisory engagement supporting a large public-sector organization, so your work lands in front of senior stakeholders and shapes how resources get allocated, not just how activity gets reported. You'll report to our project manager and provide on-site support in Washington, DC.
What You'll Own
- Run data-driven studies and analyses that inform decision-making, resource allocation, and operational improvement.
- Collect, integrate, validate, and analyze data across sources; identify trends, relationships, and the performance drivers behind them.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and visualizations in Tableau and Power BI.
- Support data governance, data quality, and reporting processes; improve data accessibility and transparency across the organization.
- Establish and evaluate performance metrics and key indicators that account for operational, cost, feasibility, and risk considerations.
- Apply Six Sigma and DMAIC methods and industry best practices; support knowledge transfer and training that make data-informed operations stick.
What You Bring
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data visualization.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Hands-on proficiency with Tableau and Power BI (required). Advanced statistical programming in R or Python is not required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CBP Suitability
- Local to the Washington, DC metro area and able to work on-site.
- Clear written and verbal communication for senior and non-technical audiences.
Bonus Points
- Experience delivering analytics inside consulting, advisory, or complex public-sector environments.
- Currently holds a Top Secret or DHS Suitability Clearance.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, performance management, or continuous improvement programs.
- Exposure to predictive, optimization, or decision-support modeling.
- Comfort using AI tools in your analytical or delivery workflow.
