Pay Rate: $70.00/hour
Work Model: Hybrid Schedule (4 Days Onsite - 1 Day WFH)

Positional Overview
The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Software Engineer II on behalf of our client, a leading financial organization in Buffalo, NY. This role supports a large-scale cloud modernization initiative focused on enhancing and migrating enterprise applications to modern cloud technologies. Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of full-stack solutions while collaborating with engineers, product partners, and Agile team members to deliver scalable, high-quality applications. Provide designs, IS solutions and highly technical direction in the development of new or existing applications to solve basic to complex problems or enhancements. Application designer for major modifications effectively using analytical and technical skills and available technology and tools in the evaluation of client requirements and processes. Provide solutions that are technologically sound. Complete day-to-day support activities and special projects. Direct and monitor the activities of less experienced personnel. Role & Responsibility
Tasks That Will Lead to Your Success
- Complete and oversee basic to complex systems analysis, design and development. Play a key role as an individual contributor on complex projects. Maintain an excellent functional understanding of the supported applications.
- Direct others to coordinate development and support technical project plans.
- Work w/Development, Operations and Technology teams for systems development, technical analysis to UAT.
- Prepare, review, and execute testing plans and debugging.
- Work with technical programs, interfacing applications and platforms, lead implement technologies and business units to meet goals.
- Prepare technical and functional specifications and updated systems documentation.
- Review assessments to include required tasks, estimated time frames and effort for any scope project.
- Maintain efficient operations for supported applications.
- Recommend new technology, policies or processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies.
- Technical evaluations of vendor software and follow standards and procedures.
- May assist in developing expense and capital budgets.
- Maintain internal control standards, timely implementation of internal/external audit points and manage regulators.
Skills & Experience Required
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- AS degree and 5 years systems analysis/app development experience or 7 years higher education and/or work experience plus 5 years systems analysis/app, hardware platforms development.
- Must be able to work the required Hybrid Schedule: 4 Days Onsite and 1 WFH
- Manage complex IT projects providing solutions with actional problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting to targeted groups
- Strong organizational and time management skills, pro-active and action-oriented
- Coordinate with Applications and Business Units to recommend and implement systems solutions
- Experience driving project milestones and delivery dates
- SME business experience utilizing current applications and systems
- Precise applications support and interfacing and integrated applications
- Work in a team environment and independently on technical complex projects
Education and Experience Preferred
- Banking or Financial industry application framework experience
- BS degree in IT related field
