Part-Time Residential Building Porter
Location: Elmwood Park II Condominium – Staten Island, NY

Job Summary
Elmwood Park II Condominium is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated Part-Time Building Porter to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the community. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is committed to providing residents with a clean and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain common areas, including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, and community rooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash and recycling from designated areas.
- Maintain the cleanliness of exterior walkways, entrances, parking areas, and landscaped spaces.
- Pick up litter and ensure grounds remain neat and presentable.
- Assist with moving refuse containers for collection and returning them after pickup.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, vandalism, or unusual conditions to management.
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and replacing batteries when needed.
- Assist with seasonal duties, including snow and ice removal and spreading salt as directed.
- Support the superintendent or management team with special projects and community events as required.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with residents and guests.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial, porter, or building maintenance work preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
