Job Title: Test Technician

Location: 4040 S Capitol Ave, Whittier, CA, 90601

Duration: 3+ months

PR: $30.00 - 35.00/hr on W2


Job Description:

Responsibilities:

· Setup new production test areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment setup, etc.

· Assist with transition from development to production, including first articles

· Manufacture, assemble, and test electromechanical assemblies according to engineering models, drawings, specifications and written procedures

· Interface with production leads, supervisors, manager and QA inspection to ensure timely customer delivery

· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control

· Setup and operate precision calibrated tools including but limited to, Mensor gauges, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, soldering gun, ESD tooling, power supplies, lab instruments etc.

· Solder PCB electrical assemblies

· Diagnose non-functional electronics assemblies independently

· Calibrate and test electromechanical assemblies per engineering procedure independently

· Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency

· Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 6S and Lean initiatives

· Learn quickly from mistakes, absorb knowledge from mentors, take ownership, cross-train others and deliver results

· Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to achieving organizational success

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or GED

· 3+ years direct experience in industrial manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field

· Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities

· Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

· Basic mathematics skills

· Hand dexterity required to assemble small mechanical or electrical components

· Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas

· Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 lbs. if needed

· Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary

· Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

· Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field

· Degreed electronics technician, CETma, IND, Computer Electronics Certification or other equivalent

· Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment

· J-STD-001G IPC certification

Schedule

· 05:00 – 13:30 with overtime and weekend hours as needed
