As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol License Verified in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting de-escalation and contacting supervisors and/or public emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor, staff, and/or vendor activity in accordance with site guidelines.
- Complete incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or other required documentation while communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
