Jack Laurie Group is seeking a motivated, competitive, and driven individual to join our team as an Associate Project Manager.
This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction project management. You will work directly alongside an experienced Project Manager while gaining hands-on experience in estimating, bidding, project execution, customer management, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination across multiple trades.
During your first 6–12 months, you will follow a structured development path designed to prepare you to take ownership of your own projects and customer relationships.
Our goal is simple: develop the next generation of Project Managers who can successfully manage their own projects, customers, and book of business.
What You'll Do

Work alongside an experienced Project Manager and learn all aspects of commercial construction project management.

Assist with bidding, estimating, takeoffs, and proposal preparation.

Build relationships with customers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits.

Coordinate project schedules and communicate with multiple trades.

Assist with project documentation, costs, change orders, and customer communications.

Help develop solutions to project challenges while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Learn the financial side of project management, including job costing, profitability, forecasting, and project performance.

Develop the skills and experience necessary to independently manage projects and customer relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience in commercial construction, estimating, project coordination, field supervision, or operations.

Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

Military leadership experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $55,000–$65,000 per year
Starting compensation will be based on overall experience, construction knowledge, and industry exposure.

Career Path
The Associate Project Manager position is designed as a development role, not a permanent assistant position.
Successful candidates will spend approximately 6–12 months working alongside an experienced Project Manager, developing the technical, financial, customer-facing, and leadership skills needed to manage projects independently.
As you demonstrate your ability to successfully manage projects, customers, budgets, schedules, and relationships, the goal is to transition you into a Project Manager position with responsibility for your own projects, customers, and book of business.
